Atlanta Police Department reported a vehicle collision near Downtown Atlanta that claimed two lives. The accident occurred early Sunday morning, October 3rd. The primary cause of the accident was not immediately available.
The APD placed the accident time just after midnight near where State Street meets North Avenue. When they arrived at the crash site, the investigators said they found a single off-road recreational vehicle involved in a collision. The police said their preliminary inquiry hinted that the off-road vehicle they traveled in collided with a cement bridge support pillar near Downtown Atlanta.
The two occupants of the vehicle were confirmed dead by the EMS at the scene. The police department did not identify the victims. The Atlanta Police Department Accident Investigations Unit responded to the accident site to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash. There is no additional information.
